Hosting a successful first workshop at Midlands Art Centre was a truly rewarding experience, filled with creativity, enthusiasm, and the joy of discovery. With nine out of ten participants exploring mosaic for the very first time, it was incredible to witness their confidence grow as they embraced the craft. Using the 'direct method,' they transformed plain clay pots and bowls into vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces, carefully cutting and shaping tesserae with two-wheeled nippers before mastering the final touch—grouting. The room buzzed with excitement and concentration as each person brought their vision to life, proving that creativity knows no bounds. Seeing their pride and satisfaction at the end of the session was the perfect reminder of why sharing art is so powerful.
